There is a large open area south of 6^th street along the river. What is the future of this piece of property?

Plausible Causes:
I just felt like it was the perfect place for a park. It stands in the center of a great many condos, all of them converted from warehouse and factory space. The area seemed a little torn up, but had the evidence of grass covering it in the summer. I could almost visualize the trees and a fountain...something similar to the parks around the condos on the east side of Chicago...
